A Minecraft player with great ambition and loads of spare time is building a 1:1 replica model of Star Trek: The Next Generation's massive flagship vessel, the Enterprise D—and he needs some hel…
For a video companion to our new hands-on preview of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty’s single-player campaign, this seven minute long video of hot SCV on mineral action and giant laser drill management is just what the doctor ordered. More »
If you’re unlucky enough to not be in the StarCraft II Beta, or unwilling to pay $300 to get in, here’s a two minute clip showing what you’re missing – in this case, the Zerg clobbering some holier-than-thou Protoss ass. This is the latest GameTrailers video on the subject; five other gameplay videos were posted [...]
It’s entirely fair to say that, while once well-matched adversaries, the last fifteen years haven’t quite worked out for Sonic the way they have for Mario. Meetings of the two may not be quite this awful in real life, but in my mind, this is exactly how such a reunion would go down. See more [...]
Do you remember the awe you felt first firing up Half-Life 2 in 2004? Now fire it up in 2010. It’s more like “aawwww”. Flat textures, dull lighting. It’s a shame! What this game needs, then, is a makeover.
A makeover like the one provided by Filip Victor. It adds HDR lighting, new models, new textures, an upgrade to the Orange Box engine (Valve performed their own tweaks for the 2007 re-release of the game on Xbox 360) and even some new Steam achievements to the ageing PC version of the original Half-Life 2.
You can see examples of the improvements made in the clip above (though be advised, you’ll want to kill the sound). If you like what you see, you can find instructions on how to download the mod below.

Take for example the loss of Altair’s ring finger on his hidden-knife-hand. From playing Assassin’s Creed, we know he lost it [...]
This is supposedly video of somebody playing Geometry Wars on Project Natal. Emphasis on the supposedly, in case you missed the italics first time around. A Destructoid reader reckons this was shot at a “Christmas Party”, though that’s where the information dries up. On the “could be” side of things, there’s lag at several points, [...]

Infinity Ward‘s latest multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 features, according to the developer, “uncut” direct feed Capture The Flag gameplay. Neat, yes, but there are some newish details seen for the first time within. Some of those details you may have heard creep out from recent GameStop and Game Crazy get [...]
“8-Bit Trip,” according to its Swedish creators took 1,500 hours to animate. They pay respect to everything from International Karate on a tape drive to Tetris on the NES, with Pong and Pac-Man in between. The music was written by Daniel Larsson and the animation was done by Tomas Redigh, of the Swedish electronica duo [...]

If only we could actually visit an island that sold itself to the world by letting you attach a truck to a helicopter, take off then use the truck as a wrecking ball to blow up a gas station.
